Working with my old friend and mentor Mark Stutz onsite in Beijing we and a small team of local Chinese designers concepted out a proposal for a space themed park. The work was done on sight in Beijing and was a fast burn of one month for myself, I believe Mark was there for a much longer period of time. As with many projects in China this depended heavily on the governments approval. Which in the end our version did not receive. We did however hear that the panel of judges really liked it. The design work here is what we did but I did go back and revisit the rendering later as I was never really satisfied with what we had been able to do on the compressed timeline of the project.
The park was to have 5 main lands based on various aspects of space exploration and technology.
Our teams proposal was very well received but in the end was not picked for development. Its too bad as I still believe this could have been an amazing cultural attraction.
