Seasonal Holliday activation, part of the concept was that during holidays we would have shows themed to the season.
Using advanced projection mapping we planned to turn the entire environment into a kinetic experience that would interact with the live performances. Again the entire zone would be activated like a parade that travels down the promenade.
Live performances that involve the guest, everyone gets to be part of the show as little or as much as they desire. Due to the total environmental activation there would be no bad seats… All the guest are immersed in the experience.
Some process examples, unlike most of work this project we did all of our concepts directly based on photographs of the existing sight.
This project was for Karissa a huge resort group in Cancun, we toured the facilities and then proposed a number of live entertainment options for the various properties.
Obviously outdoor activities specifically the beach areas were a place that needed activation.
These are examples of live entertainment design projects I worked on over a number of years with Douglas May through his company ImagineNow. Doug was a very senior level executive producer from Disney during the Eisner era. He was a “ golden football “ level creative which means a lot in the world of Disney. I met him in the Beijing train station as we were both hired on to what would become one of the craziest projects I have ever been involved with. I loved working with Doug for many reasons not the least of which was his deep institutional knowledge of the Entertainment industry. Working with Doug was like getting a masterclass in Theme Park design and the underlying business behind it. It didnt hurt that Doug was also a steller human being that positively affected anyone he interacted with.
