Experience Amazing - Lexus commercial spot - Production Designer Gary Matteson

Earlier this year I got to work with gary on a cool Lexus commercial spot. The sets were to be filmed onsite at a really cool house in Los Angeles. I was given a bunch of pics with rough dimensions to build out the scene in 3D. The director had picked very specific views and a lighting style he wanted to achieve. I needed to accurately build out that portion of this huge house and populate it with specific set dressing, furniture etc. I actually do quite a bit of that type work on these jobs as the production team needs to be able to see the scenes exactly as they will be with furniture and architecture in as close as possible to the actual camera views. Usually I will need to create custom models of the furniture and set build pieces. Of course this is all done as quickly as possible to meet tight deadlines.
