Last year while in Arizona visiting family I found myself experimenting once again with 3D software. I only had my laptop with me and on it was my old copy of MOI 3D. For those that don’t know MOI or moment of inspiration is actually a lot like Rhino but it’s a stripped down, simple, fast version. developed by the guy that according to what I could find online actually started Rhino… Anyway it’s surprisingly fun and quick Nurbs modeler, worth checking out if your interested…. Anyway long story short I wanted to see if I remembered how to use it so I made this futurist flying taxi thing. Then just a few days ago I found this image where at some point I had taken that model into a scene for another personal project in blender and made this little render. As a challenge to myself I decided to see what I could do with it in a short time on the iPad, so I did some paint over, added some BG details painted in a few characters threw some grunge and came up with this… All told it only took about an hour and a half, and I’m actually fine with the result… Altogether it has MOI “for the flying 1967 dodge station wagon” , Sketchup” for the building “ Blender cycles render and Sketchbook Pro for the paint over. Is it great? Nah but it was fun :P
