I’ve noticed that most people on art station don’t show a lot of process or rough stages of the work.

I get the thinking that people only want to show completed polished work as a way of drumming up work in the area they desire. My personal take is a bit different I feel like especially as things like AI encroach on us it’s more important then ever to share some of the process, the “ napkin sketch “ as in my opinion the rough is where you can see what an artist / designer is actually about…

I am slowly but surely learning Blender the goal being to eventually use it and unreal which I am also learning for all my rendering duties plus any complex modeling that would be harder to achieve in my go to CAD Sketchup, Im working through the free Blender Bros tutorial for hard surface modeling, Its a great tutorial and I recommend them as a source for training… their new material addon is also quite cool.

I’m working this in to a larger personal project I’m doing in my spare time that I intend to use to showcase some design work and as an excuse to learn new stuff like animation etc…
