Dolphin " Personal Submarine " vehicle Design sketch and illustration for Visual Communication class

Diver I recently did this paint over of a rough I did back in 2006. The rough was done for the Vis Com class I was teaching. I decided to finish the painting and try to focus on the atmospheric quality of being submerged.

This was a quick digital " Canson " style render done to show the students the benefits of a limited color pallet for presentation.

In 2007 I taught a Vis Com class at ACCD for Product Design majors, specifically using photoshop. The Dolphin was a design I came up with to use as an example of how to concept and illustrate a design. The painting is a refresh of a rough color I produced at the time... My experience teaching a class was both interesting and challenging. Mostly because while I feel totally comfortable producing the work, teaching others was not something that came to me naturally. I did really enjoy the interaction with the students however and wouldn't mind doing it again.
